An Exploration of Decentralised Autonomous Organisations
What you'll learn
The concept of DAOs is widely misunderstood. At the end of this course you will have a comprehensive understanding of what a DAO is (and isn't!).
Most DAOs are unregistered legal entities, exposing DAO members to enormous potential risks. We explore the frameworks for DAOs to navigate these issues.
This course helps you understand DAO-specific tools for the Treasury, including wallet security, token allocations strategies to mitigate against volatililty.
We identify the potential areas where contributors can add value and earn from DAOs as community managers, content creators, designers, and finance experts.
Policymakers and Regulators navigating the evolving Virtual Asset environment will have the tools to help inform legislation as the Digital Economy progresses.
Watch each step as we show you exactly how to launch a DAO from scratch. In this 13 minute video we demonstrate all the steps you will need to take.
No previous DAO experience is necessary. You will learn everything you need to know.
In this course, we will explore a range of topics to help you understand the ideas and opportunities that DAOs represent. We will explain what DAOs are, and explore their fundamental value propositions compared with traditional corporate structures.Once we have explored the different types of DAOs that exist, we will look at the fundamental components needed to create a DAO, including the range of technologies used to build it.Now, internet-based organisations are of course far more than the technologies used to create them. There will always be people, processes, legal regulations, financial considerations and governance issues that need to be considered in any organisation. We show you how to consider these issues for your DAO, and the tools required to get things up and running.Naturally, as with any disruptive innovation, there are challenges, potential pitfalls and uncertainties to be considered. Getting things right from the start is incredibly important. As regulation emerges or changes, you want to make sure that you have considered all the issues and have planned accordingly. Finally, once we have laid the groundwork of understanding, we will walk you through a practical example of creating a DAO from scratch. In our video you will follow us through all the steps and choices as we build and launch our DAO.
